Lisa Huang of the Collin College Library was awarded the LOTY at the meeting. She was selected HealthLINE's Librarian of the Year for 2009. "It is wonderful to celebrate the positive in the world today and a very positive energy in HealthLINE today is Lisa Huang. HealthLINE has a tradition of members who also contribute to the profession at the regional and national level, and Lisa is one of our younger members who has quickly jumped in to continue the tradition. At the local level , we have wanted for so long to have a HealthLINE website and to move to electronic voting and this has now been made possible by Lisa’s work and coordination of the work of others to bring this about."
