MLA Teleconference


The UT Southwestern Library will host the following MLA teleconference. Registration for this event is funded by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. Attendance is free.

The Art and Practice of Electronic Journal, Book, and Database Licenses: Practical Tips for Health Care Organizations. The goals for this teleconference are to:

*Provide practical tips to those who deal with licensing agreements for electronic books, journals, and databases

*Enhance the knowledge of information professionals about the pros and cons of electronic licensing agreements

*Provide useful negotiation tips for health information professionals, legal counsel, purchasing departments, and those dealing with consortium licensing agreements

DIRECTIONS:
Room V7.114 is located in the V Building, which can be found on the north campus map by looking just below “6000 Harry Hines Blvd.”
Closest intersection: Harry Hines and Record Crossing Mapsco 34S (Campus parking is $2.00).
Directions:
From the west:Take the I-35 Record Crossing exit and head east. Just prior to Harry Hines, turn left into the school’s parking lot. (There are 2 separate driveways going into the lot.) From the east:Take Inwood to Harry Hines. Turn right (going north) until Record Crossing, which is the 1st light immediately after the turn. Turn left, then turn right into the school’s parking lot.
1. Once parked, look for the metal book return by the building.
2. Use the adjacent entrance and then follow the sign to the elevators
3. Take the elevator up to the 7th floor.
4. Go through the wooden door and turn left. V7.114 is the 2nd door on the right side of the corridor.
