July 21 Meeting Information

The agenda for the upcoming HealthLINE meeting at UTA has been sent out to the HealthLINE listserv. You can also find and download the agenda and minutes from the previous meeting here. Information about the educational program plus directions to the UTA library can be found below.

Eric Upchurch of UT Southwestern will present a program on Computer Security at the July 21 meeting of HealthLINE. This program offers tips in securing your computer, including operating system and application flaws, browser integrity, virus scanning, malware detection, and firewalls. This is the program given to the UT Southwestern's postdoctoral researchers. We all can benefit from Eric's expertise.

The Parlor is located on the sixth floor of UTA's Central Library. The street address of the Central Library is 702 College Street, Arlington, Texas 76019. Parking is available in the garage near the Library at no charge, but each participant will need to be sure to pick up a pass during the meeting to return to the parking garage attendant on their way out.

The directions to the Central Library are as follows:

From Dallas I-30

Exit I-30 at Cooper Street. Go south on Cooper for approximately 2 1/2 miles. Turn left at the Mitchell Street traffic light. Turn left on West Street and proceed through two stop signs; then turn left into the parking garage. Walk from the west side of the parking garage (side opposite you entered) around the library building to the west/front of the Central Library. The Parlor is located on the sixth floor of the library building.

From Dallas I-20

Exit I-20 at Cooper Street. Go north on Cooper approximately 4 miles to the light at Nedderman Drive (just past Mitchell). Turn right on Nedderman Drive and go one block, then left at the stop sign on College Street. Go one block and turn right into the parking garage. Walk from the west side of the parking garage (the side you entered) around the library building to the west/front entry of the Central Library. The Parlor is located on the sixth floor of the library building.

From Fort Worth I-30

Exit I-30 at Cooper Street. Go south on Cooper for 2 1/2 miles to Mitchell Street. Turn left at the Mitchell Street traffic light. Turn left on West Street and proceed through two stop signs; then turn left into the parking garage. From Fort Worth I-20
